- First baseman/outfielder Ryan Mulhern was named the organization's Lou Boudreau Award winner for the Minor League Player of
the Year in 2005.
- The 25-year-old Mulhern put up outstanding numbers between Class A Kinston and Double-A Akron this season. His combined totals
were a .315 average with 32 home runs, 94 RBIs, 29 doubles, three triples and 72 runs scored.
- Mulhern's 32 homers tied him for fifth-most in all of the Minor Leagues, despite the fact that he missed a month of the season
with a broken jaw. His combined .640 slugging percentage was the fourth-best in all of the Minors. (All from MLB.com)
